GRANT’S

wish to have a play structure came true!

Grant, 4
life-threatening
neurodevelopmental disorder

Four-year-old Grant is usually climbing something – whether it’s the school playground or the stairway railing! Born with microcephaly, a life-threatening neurodevelopmental disorder, Grant is an adventurous, high-spirited boy who loves to swing, jump and play in the sand – so when asked what he wished for, it was no surprise Grant wanted a playhouse in his backyard! Make-A-Wish teamed up with Kretschmar® and B&R Stores to make Grant’s wish come true. The 12-foot super slide redwood playhouse was revealed at a party attended by Grant’s friends and family on June 25th. Complete with a rock wall, swings, sandbox, trampoline and basketball hoop, Grant’s new playhouse was the perfect wish for a fun-loving kid. “To aid in granting wishes for some very deserving children is a rewarding experience and we’re privileged to be part of the process,” said Chuck Gitkin, VP of Marketing, Innovation and R&D, John Morrell Food Group. “The support from B&R Stores and the local community has been tremendous, and we’re very appreciative of everyone’s hard work and dedication throughout. I hope that Grant enjoys his wish as much as we enjoyed helping to make it happen.”
