WISH TO have his father’s old 1970’s pickup truck restored CAME TRUE!
Richard, 17 acute lymphocytic leukemia
17 year old Richard loves working on cars and trucks with his father and older brother. When asked what his wish was, he wished for his father's old 1970 pickup to be restored.
Richard is battling acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL). He was diagnosed at the age of 12, just three short months after his mother, Debra, passed away from breast cancer. His family's health struggles continued when Richard's father suffered two strokes, but Richard continues to push forward and live the life of a typical teenager. He loves cars, trucks, playing guitar, video games and spending time with friends and family.
Kretschmar, Price Cutter and Make-A-Wish Missouri granted Richard's wish and threw him a big party in early May of 2016 to unveil his fully-restored truck. The party included a classic car show and a country music performance.
Kretschmar is committed to supporting the important efforts of Make-A-Wish and helping to make wishes come true for children with life-threatening medical conditions, like Richard," said Michael J. Sargent, Senior Brand Manager, Kretschmar Deli. "We are privileged to have the opportunity to make this unforgettable experience possible with help from Make-A-Wish and Price Cutter."
